The club trip for November will be to Currahee Mountain this Saturday the 10th.  Hidden in the hills near the town of Toccoa, Currahee is a change of pace from the familiar steep sandstone cracks and dihedrals of Tennessee. More in character with North Carolina, Currahee is a granite outcropping featuring slab climbing. Route names like Stranger than Friction will give you a clue about how to climb here.  Currahee is a great place for beginners and advanced climbers alike, with easy routes like All I Wanted Was a Pepsi or Deprived Child (5.6); moderates like Dust Bowl Daze (5.7); and harder lines like the outstanding Mikey’s Mantle (5.10a). Toproping and leading opportunities abound.

We will meet at the Indian Trail Park and Ride at 7AM.  Please note different time and place than usual.
