On Thursday, September 26 the Reel Rock Film Tour will be returning to the Green Lot in Chastain Park. Presented by High Country Outfitters, Reel Rock features selections from some of the foremost up-and-coming climbing and adventure films. This year’s tour includes film about the Everest brawl between sherpas and Ueli Steck and Simone Moro, an exciting new project by Yuji Hirayama and Daniel Woods, girl power courtesy of Hazel Findlay and Emily Harrington, some old-school fun with the Stonemasters, and much more!
Things get started at 6:30pm at the Chastain Park Green Lot. Parking is limited, so carpool with some friends if you can. Be sure to bring a blanket to lie on, or some ground-level chairs (nothing with legs on it is permitted). You’re also welcome to bring food and coolers with beverages of all kinds. Just be sure to pick up after yourself. The films start at sunset.
There will be sponsor raffle tables where attendees can bid on “raffle packages” from their favorite brands, give-aways, a slideshow, and information tables from local companies. Best of all, the proceeds go to the SCC!
Tickets are $12 in advance, or $15 at the event. Advance tickets may be purchased at either High Country Outfitters location, or online. Be sure to bring along some extra dough to the event to purchase raffle tickets.
