Come join us on December 8 for the ACC Climbing Club Trip to Tennessee Wall (T-Wall). T-Wall is one of the premier trad climbing destinations in the southeast. This trip we will explore the Left/West Side.
When things are too crowded in T-Wall’s eastern section, do yourself a favor and head west. Though it’s actually where all the earliest route development took place, T-Wall West usually has far fewer climbers.
Some of the classics on the West Side are: Where Lizards Go to Die – 5.10a; Open Casket – 5.9; Circus-Circus 5.8 Trad 2 pitches; In Sight of Power 5.8+
As a south-facing crag, T-Wall is in full sun all day. This makes it a terrific winter destination (think t-shirts in January), and a miserable place in the summer. Prime time at T-Wall is September through June.
The plan will be to meet at the Marietta Park N Ride at 0630 and then car pool to T-Wall arriving by 0830. Please make sure that if you have any time constraints, you make arrangements to drive or carpool with like-minded individuals. After a day of climbing, the plan will to gather at one of the following fine eateries in the area: Tremont Tavern, Mojo, or Lupi’s Pizza.
